The Location Operations Manager manages the interaction of support groups within the branch including warehouse, production plants (fertilizer, manufacturing), dispatch, and purchasing.
It is the responsibility of the Location Operations Manager to ensure each group operates efficiently to achieve their goals and interacts effectively with the other operation groups within the facility.
Reports include plant, warehouse, and purchasing and dispatch managers.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
Ability to work independently with minimum supervisionProficient in all Microsoft Office applicationsMinimum of five years' experience in the agriculture business with a demonstrated track record in sales and marketing or retail branch managementBachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture or Business related field is preferred Key Personal Attributes Include:
Detail and accuracy orientation with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyGood interpersonal and team-building skills with a positive attitude and ability to establish relationships with branch personnel, peers, and customersDemonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to lead and influenceUnderstands and maintains confidentiality Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Responsible for managing branch operations at the Sawyer location including management of support personnel, operational oversight, and customer serviceEstimate 60% of time will be spent performing logistics and dispatching duties for PlattsmouthCoordinate all support resources for the location to ensure compliance with Wilbur Ellis safety, regulatory, credit, and other policiesSupport programs to establish Wilbur Ellis as a leading provider of agronomic productsOperations management oversight of the locationsWork and communicate with the Location Sales Manager and team to determine their needs, develop plans and actions to meet customer requirements with appropriate operational solutions.
Communicate with Location Sales Manager on initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plansCoordinate Operations support resources including fertilizer, value-added nutrition, branded products, seed, and PPP purchasing to maximize opportunitiesInventory control and responsible for coordinating inventory counts, adjustments, etc.
Responsible for the operational P&L, communicating and coordinating with the Location Sales Manager on any large purchases needed for operationsOther duties as assigned Compensation and
